UTAH ARTIST PRESENTS PAINTING TO VICE PRESIDENT DICK CHENEY
BOUNTIFUL, UTAH — Bountiful-based painter David Koch was selected by the Utah Republican
Party to paint a painting which was presented to Vice President Dick Cheney at the
GOP Convention held in August. “I am very honored to be selected for this commission”
says Koch. “This could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.“ Koch, however, is not
unfamiliar with this type of honor. He was also commissioned by Governor Leavitt
to produce a painting for the inauguration at the beginning of this year.
David Koch is a full-time oil painter who’s impressionistic painting style is attracting
the attention of local and national collectors. Some of the artist’s most popular
works are his historic pioneer and religious themes, some of which have recently
been selected to hang in the LDS Nauvoo Temple. Dramatic landscapes, elegant still
lifes and energetic street scenes also demonstrate the broad range of this artist.
