As Light broke through the trees of the Sacred Grove onto the Smith farm during my visit, I was reminded of the glorious light of the Gospel breaking forth in this dispensation. This pastoral scene belies the remarkable event that transpired inside this otherwise simple grove bordering the Smith family farm. Indeed, this lovely setting represents an inspiring "Prelude" the beginning of the miracle that has become lovingly known as The Restoration. I hope this painting will evoke thoughts of the event that transpired there and give us pause to reflect upon each of our personal journeys through this life, journeys that are so influenced by this "Prelude."
