There is no substitute for painting from life. This workshop will focus on the
elements of art that can be best learned on location. Demonstrations and in-depth
instruction will improve your observation skills and your ability to get valuable
information onto your canvas in an organized, well designed and efficient way. The
workshop will be held in the St. George Area of Utah. Join us for a weekend of valuable
painting instruction, warm weather and breath-taking vistas.
Class format will include:
• lectures
• variety of subject matter
• painting demonstrations
• learn how to observe without bias
• art critique sessions
Class open to all levels, however, some painting experience will be helpful.
Fee: $350
Class enrollment will be limited to ensure personal instruction.

Brushes — Bristle Flats: 1/8 inch, 1/4 inch, 1/2 inch, 1 inch
Oil Paint (minimum)— Titanium White, Cadmium Yellow light, Cadmium Red Light, French
Ultramarine Blue (You may bring other colors that you are comfortable with)
Canvas panels, canvas glued to board or gessoed board — Ten - 6" X 8",
